日本って両替店が少ないですよね。。。

八王子など日本の街ってなんでもあって
本当に便利なんですが、
両替店だけはどこにも見当たらないんですよね～
ほんと、外貨を両替するのは至難の業です。

シンガポールに行ってた時の
シンガポールドルのあまりがあったので
両替をしようと思いましたが
シンガポールドルどこも扱ってないって！
扱ってるところ見つけたら、
レートが悪い、両替が遅い、場所が遠い。

レートが良くて、テキパキしてて、便利な場所にある
シンガポールのチャイナタウンの両替所が懐かしいです。

coin laundries, sauna bathes, pachinko palors, gyudon chains 
and maid cafes.

In Japanese town such a Hachioji, we can find all kinds of 
goods, foods and services. I think it's a quite convenient.
However, we can't look for only money changers anywhere.
It's extremely difficult to exchange money.

Indeed, as I have surplus of Singapore dollar which I used
during my stay there, I try to exchange them. There is no bank
any more which deal with Singapore dollar. Since I found
the bank which deal it, the bank's exchange rate is bad, its
operation is slow and its place is distant.

I'm longing for a Foreign Exchange Dealer at Chinatown in 
Singapore whose rate is good, whose operation is fast and
whose plave is near.

シェイエクスピアの 2枚組のCD「ザ・エッセンシャル・シェイエクスピア・ライブ」

「THE ESSENTIAL SHAKESPEARE LIVE」

5月末から車の中で聴く英語CDとして
「Shakespeare's original pronunciation（BRITISH LIBRARY）」を選び
聞き続けてきましたが、
そろそろさすがに飽きてきましたので
次の CDに入れ換えました。

これから車の中で聴くのは、
「THE ESSENTIAL SHAKESPEARE LIVE」という 2枚組のCDです。
パッケージを空けてみたら、
セリフもすべてCDのパンフレットに載っていました。
セリフを一度読んでおくと
聞き取りの精度があがるので、
これはとても助かります。
ロイヤル・シェイクスピア・カンパニー（Royal Shakespeare Company）
の傑作集ですので、
これで毎日のドライブも楽しくなります。
夏はシェイクスピアに限ります！

ああ、これじゃあ、
今年の夏も、僕の助手席に乗ってくれる女の子は
現われないだろう。
まさにこれぞシェイクスピアの悲劇です（笑い）

As CD I enjoy in my car, I have listened to the CD,
 "Shakespeare's original pronunciation（BRITISH LIBRARY)", from 
the end of May. I think I may lose interest to it.
Therefore I change it to new ones.

They are double CD named "THE ESSENTIAL SHAKESPEARE LIVE" 
which I start to hear in my car.
When I open the package, I was noticed all line
in the CD printed on its pamphlet.
If I read the line once, my listening skill to the CD
would increase. So, I will be quite helped by doing it.
As these CD are excellent plays of Royal Shakespeare Company,
my everyday drive will enjoyable.
In the summer, we should listen Shakespeare's play in our vehicle.

Ah, I guess I'm never going to meet pretty lady in this summer who sit in front passenger seat.
This is certainly tragedy of Shakespeare!

「Economist」を読んでいると、
日本では大きく取り上げられていないテーマが
めちゃめちゃ大きく報道されていることがあります。
最近ですと、スコットランド独立問題だと思います。

「Economist」はイギリスの新聞ですので、
関心が非常に大きいようで、記事を読んでいると
とても楽しいです。イギリス側はなんとか
スコットランドを UK(連合王国)に引き留めようとしていて
記者が書く記事にも必死な様子が漂っています。

反対に、スコットランドの独立派は
長く続いた大英帝国に引導を渡すかのように
独立ムードを煽っています。

昨今の世界情勢や歴史的ないきさつを考えると
スコットランドの人々は独立を選ぶと僕は思っています。
9月の独立を問う住民投票で「Yes」の人が過半数を超えると思っています。

7つの海を支配したイギリスは
とうとう自分の島の上半分をも失います。

イギリス分裂、スコットランド独立へ

世界的に見て、間違いなく今年最大の
ニュースではないでしょうか？

When I read the Economist, I realize that they deal with
the theme on a large scale which hardly picked up in Japan.
Recently, the Problem With Scottish Independence is that.

As the Economist is English news paper, it inclined to
have a deep interest in the problem. I'm really fun to reading
the articles. The side of England seems to keep Scottish
back from their independence from UK. The articles written
by English journalist desperately appeal to Scottish.

On the contrary, the Scottish National Party stirs the people
to be independent from UK like saying a requiem for the
British Empire.

According to recent affairs and thinking the complications
of history, I think Scottish people ought to choose their
independence. I guess more than half of the people say
"Yes" at the inhabitants' poll which asks their independence
on September 18th 2014.

At last, United Kingdom which dominated seven seas may
lose  the upper half of their own island.

Great Britain is divided into two nations, Scotland became
independent.

On a global scale, this is the most significant news story
of this year, isn't this?
