記録的大雪で分かった京王バスの心意気

人にやさしい京王バス！

夜遅く、雪で覆われた道をゆく京王バス

JR八王子駅前はタクシー待ちの人々の長い行列ができ、
道路には走っている車がほとんど見当たらない。
吹雪くように白く冷たい雪が横から吹き付ける。
そんな状況の中、京王バスがひとり大奮闘していました。

僕もバスに乗せてもらって自宅に無事帰ったのですが、
バスは揺れる揺れる、滑る滑る。
そんな状況の中である乗客が
「通常通りなんですか？」と運転手さんに質問していました。
その運転手さんは事も無げに「通常通りです。」と答えました。

記録的大雪でも、京王バスは通常通りなんです！
料金ももちろん通常通りです。
さすがに運行時刻は相当乱れていましたが、
こういう時は時刻よりも何よりも走らせることが大切です。
それは公共交通機関としての商売抜きの使命だと思います。

東日本大震災の時も、
京王電鉄は一番最初に復旧して電車を走らせたはずです。

こういう時に、会社の心意気がわかるもんです。
こういう時にこそ、その会社の精神が伝わってくるモノです。
京王は心底すごいと思います。
京王が八王子にあって本当に良かったです。

for taxi. We can't find any cars on the road there.
White cold snow was blowing sideways like blizzard.
Keio bus fought alone in such circumstances.

Actually, I got their bus servise, and went back to my
home safety that day. The bus was shaking and shaking,
and sliding and sliding on the snow road. In that kind
of situation, a certain passenger asked to the bus driver
a question that "Are you doing your business as usual?"
The driver answered, "we are in business normally." as
if nothing had happened.

They ordinary operate bus service in the case of record
snow. The fare is also ordinary. Indeed, bus schedule
was fairly delay. However, on such an occasion, running
the buses as usual as anything is quite important. That
is the company's mission without business as public
transportation.

When the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred, Keio
line restarted their trains earlier than any other railway
companies.

On an occasion like this, we can know the company's
attitude. In a moment like this, we are naturally felt of
organization's spirit by their action. I think Keio Group
has great heart and mind. We are so glad that Keio has
exsisted in Hachioji, our lovely hometown.
