▼English(英文) Crystals of snow are falling. A regular hexagonal beautiful white angel are flying down. It's snowing fast today in Hachioji. All of us would look at snow with some emotion.
By effect of a low pressure area which is now developing and traveling northward, in Hachioji city, my hometown, it will start to fall snow at about 1 a.m. on February 8th, tomorrow, and continue to snow all day long. There's a possibility of 40cm meters of snow. From tomorrow evening, the strong wind will blow and sleet will fall by approaching the low pressure and they continue before daybreak on February 9th.
I have just got attention from the disaster prevention department of Community Safety Section in Hachioji city.
As snow isn't yet falling, 40cm meters is unbelievable!
The most depth of accumulated snow in Hachioji was 44cm on February 16th, 1968. Honestly, the snow at that time was falled from the day before. The day before was just the day when I, Nobuhiro Murauchi, was born into this world on February 15th, 1968(Showa 43).
Accordingly, I'd not like this year's snow to break the record for 1968's snowfall. Dear, snow! Please don't break Hachioji's best record which was set on the date of my birth in 1968!
▼English(英文) In this morning, I found such a poem on Japan Post Insurance's full-page ad in the Nikkei, Japanese financial newspaper, with the picture of lovely Rena Nounen's side view. As she recites this poem, we can feel it marvelous. I will translate this from Japanese to English for non-Japanese people!
We may be damaged in our life. We may also want to weep.
When you face such feelings, oh, you have to skip without thinking deeply.
Whatever anyone may say to you, your life is splendid.
Shall we say side by side "the world is actually not bad."
